We tried hard to make this Halloween fun for our #k2ktoronto kids, given the circumstances. Today, we took advantage of the crisp autumn weather and had a little fun outdoors at the Lions Valley Park in Oakville (Halton region). 15 kids came out and enjoyed their day outside at the park in their costumes, all while observing the public health guidelines of social distancing and wearing a mask.
Parents also had fun decorating their cars for “Trunk or Treat”. The kids enjoyed going around, taking pictures, and getting treats from their friends.
We also took this opportunity to collect non-perishable food items for a local food bank. Thank you very much for a trunk full of donations. All items collected will be donated to a food bank in Peel region, to thank them for the use of the park.
Special thanks to Anand Shearon of https://www.myphotographer.ca for coming out to capture the memories of the day for us, and to Million Dollar Smiles http://www.milliondollarsmiles.ca for their generous treat bags for all our kids. We really appreciate your generosity. Thank you very much!
