Laura began her career in the industry when she was bit by the acting bug while apprenticing at the Charlotte Repertory Theatre in North Carolina. Upon returning to Canada, she worked as an actor and appeared in films, on television, and in numerous theatre productions. She continued to further her professional development in both Canada and the United States, while beginning her career as a theatre instructor. Laura is the co-owner and Artistic Director of Broadway North Youth Theatre https://www.broadwaynyt.com/ Now in their 8th year, BNYT provides successful musical and dramatic educational theatre programs for youth ages 4 – 19 years. Laura brings with her over 20 years of teaching and coaching experience; working as an on-set coach, as well as extensively with young, professional actors in the industry. Her private instruction focuses on audition preparation and skill development, delving into the elements needed to help her students become a success.

Laura would like to thank Kids T.O. Kids Runway of Hope for providing her the opportunity to chat with so many up and coming talented performers in their group. She looks forward to connecting with you!

We at #k2ktoronto also would like to thank Laura very much for donating her time and expertise to run a Q & A for us!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A testimonial from the parent of one of Laura’s successful students, our own K2K Glee D. (Odd Squad):

“Laura is very good with Glee. Glee was 6 years old when she started with her. Laura teaches her how to react when she is not saying anything, and preps her for auditions, and teaches her monologue.

Most of Glee’s success is all Laura.  She is so flexible and works around her schedule, and would do last minute audition prep.

Glee used to have auditions, call backs, but didn’t book.  After a weekly coaching section with Laura, she started booking.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Laura’s Q&A will take place virtually on Zoom at 7 p.m., Sunday, November 22nd. For a minimum donation of $10, you can also join us. Please email kidstokids.runwayofhope@gmail.com to sign up. Thank you very much! 🙏
