Though the pandemic prevented our annual fundraising event from happening, it could not stop us from continuing to give back and bring happiness to many children in our community. For the 2021 holiday season, K2K not only supported The Wish program (https://www.cp24.com/features/cp24-chum-christmas-wish), but also Million Dollar Smiles (https://www.milliondollarsmiles.ca).
We were able to gift 210 children with 250 presents through The Wish program, and help make their Christmas a little brighter. K2K was once again featured on CP24 “Donor of the Day” segment and recognized for our commitment to the community.
With generous support from our friends at Evolution Martial Arts https://www.evolutionmartialarts.ca in Ancaster, together, we were also able to gift many children with Christmas presents, as well as providing 20 parents with gift baskets.
Throughout 2021, we continued to support Basket Brigade Canada (https://www.basketbrigadecanada.org), helping sort food and groceries for delivery during Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas holidays. We also helped deliver food and happiness to many, many families. In 2021 alone, Basket Brigade Canada was able to support more than 1,500 families.
