In its 53rd year, “The Wish” program has become one of the largest distributors of toys to children in need in the Greater Toronto Area. The program also provides financial assistance to hundreds of agencies, ensuring that hundreds of thousands of children across the GTA enjoy a holiday experience. With the help of the public, the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish in conjunction with Toronto Social Services assisted hundreds of thousands of people in need through toy and financial support.

Kids T.O. Kids joined The Wish program for the first time this year. Our members, individually, ran a Toy Drive and donated new, unwrapped toys to the program. The kids really enjoyed doing this, as you can see from the posts on our Instagram page http://www.instagram.com/Kidstokids.runwayofhope CP24 must have seen this too, as they invited our members for a Live interview at the CP24 studio. Kids T.O. Kids got to speak to the wider audience of CP24, and let them know what Kids T.O. Kids is about.

On December 14th, 2019, 25 older members of the groups volunteered their time to help unload, sort, and pack the toys at the CHUM warehouse in Mississauga. It was a very rewarding experience, and we would like to invite everyone aged 12 and up to join us next year.

The Wish Campaign generally starts in October each year. Toy donations, including gift cards for older recipients, are greatly appreciated. Our members will be happy to pick up your donations from anywhere in the GTA. Please stay tuned on when The Wish Campaign will start for Christmas 2020. Thank you very much.
